Re-purposed Baby Girl Dress

Tonight I went to a baby shower for a good friend of mine. Lucky for me my 2 babies were sleeping at the same time today and I got to spend about an hour to myself. So I sewed up this little dress for the shower.
I had a pair of pants that didn’t fit anymore and I looked at the bottom of the pant-leg and I saw it…this little dress. I mean, look at that awesome hem!
I made a little ribbon to feed thru the top to tighten it around the baby’s shoulders. (There are little slits for the arm holes.) Then I made a flower to “girly” it up a little more.
And there we go! One free little dress. And a matching one coming soon. Afterall, I have to use up the other pant-leg! I even tried it on my little baby boy to make sure it looked good on. Poor boy! But dang was it cute!
